Are you excited about the upcoming lacrosse season?  Is your team ready to learn the newest drills and techniques in the sport?  US Lacrosse Coaches’ Education Program (CEP) is bringing a Level 1 Instructional Coaching Clinic to YOU!
 
On January 28^th2012, 9:30am - 4:00pm at AMBROSE School in Boise, you can attend the groundbreaking clinic only available through the US Lacrosse CEP.
 
The CEP Level 1 Clinics bring the material from the Level 1 online courses to life in a comprehensive, all day hands-on experience conducted by certified US Lacrosse trainers. With demonstrations and technique instruction, you will build confidence in coaching beginning players and take new ideas and concepts about coaching lacrosse back to your teams.  Participants in Level 1 Clinics receive:
 

• a Level 1 Workbook, ONLY available at these Instructional Clinics,
• a US Lacrosse goodie bag filled with useful coaching tools
• Personalized discussions with trained US Lacrosse trainers.

 
*Current US Lacrosse membership is required to participate in the clinics.

Theater: 

• General Session – who is the ILA, goals for 2012, welcome to the 2012 summit. 

9:30 am
Aux Room:

• ILOA General Meeting – Idaho Lacrosse Officials Association’s 2012 organizational meeting

Theater:

• Recruiting Panel – 6 member panel will discuss the ins and outs and answer questions about the recruiting process and what a parent and player needs to do and be aware of.

Cafeteria:

• Lax ID will open up the Equipment Swap going until 3pm
• Information booths open until 3 pm
• Concessions open until 3pm

Classroom 1:

• Women’s coaches’ rule interpretation meeting – TVWLL and TVYLL coaches are invited to go through the new rules and to discuss interpretations of past rules with IWLUA representatives

Classroom 2:

• Intro to Boys Lacrosse – Parents and new players are you curious to what lacrosse even is, basic rules and basic understanding of the game – this session is for you

          Theater:

• Men’s scorekeeper and Timer Clinic – are you a TVLL or TVYLL parent that is going to volunteer to manage the table? The Eagle Men’s Lacrosse Club will go through the ins and outs of table management.

Classroom 2:

• ILA website help – are you a team manager? Coach? that needs to learn how to manipulate through the ILA website?

• ILOA Current Ref Refresher – If you currently are an Idaho Lacrosse Men’s official this is a required meeting for you.

Cafeteria:

• Lax Idaho will do a stringing clinic

Classroom 1:

• Intro to Girls Lacrosse -  Parents and new players are you curious to what lacrosse even is, basic rules and basic understanding of the game – this session is for you

11:30 am
          Theater:

• Club Finances Round Table Discussion – are you a manager, parent rep or treasurer of a team?  The Boise High Men’s Lacrosse team will be leading a discussion of the ins and outs of club finances.

Classroom 2:

• Men’s scorekeeper and Timer Clinic – are you a TVLL or TVYLL parent that is going to volunteer to manage the table? The Eagle Men’s Lacrosse Club will go through the ins and outs of table management.

          Cafeteria:

• Lax Idaho - What equipment do you need to play – Parents and players new to the sport – what exactly is needed for your son or daughter to play lacrosse?

Classroom 1:

• IWLUA - Intro to Women’s Officiating – are you interested in learning how to be a women’s lacrosse official? This session will go through the ins and outs of how to do that process

• Intro to Boys Lacrosse - Players and parents that are thinking about doing the sport can try it out with the Centennial Men’s lacrosse team until 3pm

          Theater:

• St. Als – will go through their Stars Concussion program that TVLL is offering this year, also questions about concussions will be answered.

Good Day From Three Rivers Lacrosse ShootOut Director.
 
Registration continues to be open and we hope that your club would like to come and play in our great weekend of games on April 21^st and 22^nd in Kennewick WA.  The price is set at $300.00 per team and spots are already filling up quickly.  Again it is a first come first play basis and we can only have about 40 teams for all age groups.  We are again working on hotel pricing to make the weekend as reasonable as we can and should have that information soon. 
 
Details are being updated on our website www.threeriverslacrosse.com as we get more information.
 
 
Registration is on a first come, first serve basis.

The Spring 2012 season is just around the corner and that means it is time to dust off the cleats and iron those stripes! Below you will find the dates for the new officials training clinics hosted for free by the ILOA. Please note that in order to qualify as an ILOA official you will be required to attend the 3-day course during the week or the single session Saturday clinic.

February 7, 8, 9 (Tues-Thurs) – 7:00pm @ Lax ID (click here for location)
February 18th (Saturday) – 10:00am @ Lax ID (click here for location)

Please note that these training sessions are targeted toward new officials. Current ILOA members are still required to attend our yearly update training session, but are more than welcome to also attend our new officials clinics.
