Opportunities
The councils for both men’s and women’s officials offer opportunities for interested participants to learn to be lacrosse officials and train in scrimmages. Every spring, each group holds at least one in-class and two on-the-field training sessions. New officials learn basic officiating skills, become familiar with the rules of the game, and develop as proficient officials.
Game Opportunities
All leagues pay a fee on a per-official-per-game basis. Games begin in early March for high school and youth leagues. Each official has the opportunity to determine how many games to participate in each week by alerting the local scheduler of their availability and travel expectations.
