Play Lacrosse

A sport for everyone

Lacrosse combines elements of basketball, soccer, and hockey. Anyone can play lacrosse, no matter how large or how small they are, and enjoy success both on and off the field. The game rewards speed, coordination, and agility even more than it does brawn.

Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing team sports in the United States. Youth membership (ages 15 and under) in US Lacrosse, the United States’ national association, has doubled since 1999 to more than 60,000. The National Federation of State High School Associations reported that in 2001 more than 74,000 students played lacrosse. This estimate does not include club teams, private schools, and states that have not yet sanctioned lacrosse, so actual participation by high school-aged players is much higher. At the same time, varsity collegiate participation has grown by one-third since 1995, and collegiate and post-collegiate club teams field thousands of additional players, as well.
